Achivements
After its creation in the year 2001, Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority has achieved the following goals:
- During the past years of efficient working of PKHA, today PKHA is standing on its own feet, paying salaries to its staff.
- Contributing Rs.150 Million per year for PKHA Annual Maintenance plan.
- Establishment of Road Management Unit (RMU).
- RMU is the first of its kind in the Province has been established at Naguman Peshawar with Hi Tech Equipment.

- 2 Nos. Portable Mobile Weigh Bridges (Axle load control regime)
- 4 Nos. Automatic Traffic Counter
- Laboratory Equipment with aim to accredit this Laboratory to International Standard with credibility of results.
- Procured 2 Nos. Steel replacement bridges for handling emergency situation during floods.
- Constructed 51 Nos. Major RCC Bridges.
- Constructed and improved 107 Km dual carriage ways.
- Constructed and improved 664 Km Provincial Highways.
- Repaired and improved most of the Provincial Highways through Annual Maintenance program.
